Mortified Anne Hathaway gives stuntman black eye
Anne Hathaway is taking her role as Catwoman on the new Batman film seriously. In fact, one stuntman walked away with a black eye after filming a scene! Meow!
It sounds like the claws are out on the set of the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight Rises. Anne Hathaway, who is playing Catwoman in the Christopher Nolan-directed film, got so caught up in a scene that she gave the stuntman a black eye!
"Anne got a bit carried away during a fight scene and mistakenly shoved the butt of the gun right into the actor's eye socket," a source reports. "He came away with a massive black eye. Anne was mortified."
Hathaway, 29, apologized to the stuntman with an engraved pen reading, "Remember no one packs a punch like Anne."
It seems the stuntman is taking it all in stride. "It was all in good humor but the poor guy took quite a pummeling," the insider said.
Hathaway reportedly had her eye on the Catwoman role for quite some time, and even beat out starlets Keira Knightley, Blake Lively, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman for the role.
The Dark Knight Rises, which also stars Christian Bale and Tom Hardy, is slated to hit theaters July 20, 2012.
