Demi Lovato and mom are tattoo twinsies

Demi Lovato's mom is so supportive of her daughter that she's gone and gotten herself a tattoo. When sending a Hallmark card just isn't enough to show how much you care, step up your game and get permanently inked.

Demi Lovato and her mother are tattoo twinsies. While most parents cringe at the idea of their children getting tattooed, Demi's mother has gone so far as to copy her daughter's ink.

Demi, who checked into rehab last November to deal with "emotional and physical issues," has the words "Stay" and "Strong" tattooed inside her wrists. Dianna Hart de la Garza now sports the same words inside her own wrists, as a show of support for her 18-year-old daughter.

Demi announced the news of her mother's tattoos in typical fashion, on Twitter. "My mom's #staystrong tattoo!!! She got one too!!!!! My mom surprised me with it when I was in treatment because that's how all you guys were showing support... And she wanted to show me how... proud she was of me for getting help and changing my life... I love her so much."

Demi Lovato showed off her tattoos, one of which is seen in the photo above, during an April 22 interview with ABC's 20/20. She explained the tattoos are in part dedicated to her fans for their support. "The journey that I went through and the support of my fans was so meaningful to me that I wanted to thank my fans in a way that I know can never be forgotten. So I went ahead and I got a little heart tattoo on my wrist."

Demi continues, "It's something that my fans actually were drawing on their wrists while I was still in treatment. And some people even got tattoos of it. So I wanted to show you guys that I will never forget the support that you guys gave me, and I will look at it every day and remember you guys and be completely thankful for you."

Sounds like Demi Lovato's mom has now permanently claimed the title of Demi's number one fan!
