Michael Bolton is back! The singer unleashed his funny side in a Saturday Night Live digital short this week as a man obsessed with Captain Jack Sparrow.

Who knew Michael Bolton was funny? The crooner popped up on Saturday Night Live this week in a hilarious appearance in a digital short with Andy Samberg's Lonely Island group.

Michael Bolton

Bolton, an award-winning singer and former Dancing With the Stars contestant, played an artist hired to sing the chorus for Samberg's group, but shows up late to the studio because he was watching a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon. He then interrupts the group's rap about chicks and guns with nonsensical pirate lyrics.

He then climbs into the bird's nest of a pirate ship for his big solo. Check it out (caution, a couple of the lyrics are NSFW):

Love the song? You can get yourself a copy when the Lonely Island album Turtleneck and Chain drops May 10.
