John Travolta might have made his Dancing With the Stars debut last night as friend Kirstie Alley’s ‘Dance Doctor,’ but is that enough to keep Alley in the running for the mirror ball trophy? She was praised by the judges, but received a low 23 out of 30 score.
“It’s gone. It’s gone, John helped us break the curse, he brought levity back into our lives,” Alley said of the fall and lost shoes in previous dancing routines. “John — thank you. I love you… He made it light again.”
Alley and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced a foxtrot to American Woman during Monday night’s episode — and many have noted the couple’s chemistry together.
“We didn’t rehearse sexy. We rehearsed [the] foxtrot and then sexy somehow took over,” Chmerkovskiy told Access Hollywood.
“I think we both know how to have sex and I don’t know how to foxtrot,” Alley added of Chmerkovskiy’s shirt-ripping routine. “Look, I was in high school when American Woman came out and the guys didn’t wear shirts and they wore really, really low cut bell bottom leather pants. It was just cool and normal and so I asked him, [to rip off his shirt]. I kept asking him and then I didn’t know if he was going to do it until today.”
And what does Travolta think of Chmerkovskiy?
“He loved Maks; he gave Maks a huge compliment and he said that he’s the best thing that happened to dance since him,” Alley added. “That’s a huge compliment from John and I’ve never heard him actually give that particular compliment to anyone.”
Wow, ego much?
Was Travolta really the magic touch to keeping Alley in DWTS? We’ll find out soon enough!
