Top Redbox releases this week

The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 Friday Redbox release is getting all the chatter, but there’s lots of new fun for your DVD, Blu-ray or On Demand pleasure.

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Country Strong landed in Redboxes on April 12, 2011. The Nashville tale has sparked a whole new career for Paltrow, who plays a has-been country star who gets a chance at a comeback, thanks to a rising young songwriter. The duo takes the country scene by storm, but their success leads to romantic complications with her husband/manager and a beauty queen-turned-singer.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader is also out. The newest Narnia installment finds Lucy and Edmund stranded in Cambridge, but not for long. “They’re stuck with their horrible cousin Eustace and in the middle of an argument, they get sucked into a painting and into Narnia on Prince Caspian’s ship,” star Georgie Henley told SheKnows. “People are in for a whirlwind. You’ve got tons of action, tons of comedy and a return to the magic of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.”

If those don’t suit your fancy, Tron: Legacy and Little Fockers came out last week, plus Black Swan and Tangled are also available.

Next week, on April 19, look for Colin Firth’s The King’s Speech, Jack Black’s Gulliver’s Travels and Nicole Kidman’s Rabbit Hole at your local Redbox.
