The death of Long Beach rapper Nate Dogg has rocked the music world — and fans are expressing their condolences and disbelief all over the web.

The official cause of Nate Dogg’s death on March 15 hasn’t been released — but his family suspects it has something to do with two strokes the rapper suffered in 2006 and 2008, the singer’s friend and manager Rod McGrew told TMZ Wednesday.

“We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support,” McGrew and Nate Dogg’s family said in a statement.

“We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie.”

Nate Dogg’s death is a huge loss for the hip hop community, but today we’re celebrating his legacy by listening to some of his biggest hits and collaborations.
