Dan Fogler and Elisabeth Harnois scoop Mars Needs Moms
In Mars Needs Moms, Dan Fogler and Elisabeth Harnois share quite a few scenes together. Their chemistry is electric as their two characters, Gribble and Ki, have an innocent flirtation that adds layers of charm to an already charming film.
Fogler, recently seen in Take Me Home Tonight, is a Tony Award winner and a multifaceted talent. His recent graphic novel, Moon Lake, debuted this year and his directorial debut, Hysterical Psycho, premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. But it is his acting that is gaining Fogler all the buzz currently. After witnessing his performance-capture turn in Mars Needs Moms, many a comic actor (we're talking to you Jack Black) better watch out!
Harnois, on the other hand, is a relative newcomer. Her performance in Mars Needs Moms clues us in to the fact that this actress will be a big name before too long. Her portrayal of Ki (pronounced key) is equal parts humorous, cuddly and scene-stealing.
Mars Needs Moms stars Joan Cusack and is one of those family movies where the moral of the story is weaved through the fabric of excellent entertainment for kids. The value of parents, particularly moms, is on full display -- but through the magic of the movies, it comes in a package that thrills, chills and produces an exorbitant amount of laughter.
