Justin Bieber gets MVP at Celebrity All-Star game
Justin Bieber can sing, dance, act -- and play basketball? The 16-year-old teen sensation scores the MVP at the NBA All-Star Celebrity game at the Los Angeles Convention Center!
Justin Bieber's West team may have lost 54-49, but his basketball skills during the NBA All-Star Celebrity game were so good he was awarded the MVP title.
"I'm just running back and forth. I'm controlling this whole team. I'm just kidding," Bieber said in an interview during the game.
Bieber recruited his Twitter followers to help him nab the MVP title. "Everyone text 'bieber' to 69622 for me to be MVP in the all-star celeb game. I'm going in!!! Haha."
Bieber's contribution to the team was eight points, four assists and two rebounds. His team was coached by Magic Johnson and had other celebrity players including Zachary Levi (Chuck), R&B singer Trey Songz, rapper Romeo and Rob Kardashian.
Scottie Pippen led the East team with 17 points, with other celebrities including Nick Cannon, Jason Sudeikis (Saturday Night Live), rapper Common and Michael Rapaport (Pound Puppies). They were coached by Bill Walton.
Bieber did make a three-pointer, however, he missed one with 30 seconds left that would have tied the game.
"He has the softest hair," Rick Fox joked of his West teammate.
Who did Bieber thank as he accepted his MVP award? His coach, of course! "It was all because of my boy Magic over here."
