Miley Cyrus to host Saturday Night Live

Singer and actress Miley Cyrus is slated to host Saturday Night Live for the first time on March 5.

If you are missing your Miley Cyrus fix since Hannah Montana aired its final show, you will be happy to know the 18-year-old singer and actress is slated to host Saturday Night Live on March 5.

This will be her first time hosting SNL and, unlike Justin Timberlake and Beyonce, she won’t be hosting and performing as the musical guest — which is probably a good idea since this is her first time to take on the live hosting gig. No announcement has been made as to who will be the musical guest for the night.

It will be interesting to see if Miley Cyrus, who has been a regular in the gossip magazines, will make fun of herself. From her sexy music videos to the bong smoking scandal — she has plenty of material to choose from.

Cast members of SNL have been practicing their impersonation of Cyrus in the regular skit, The Miley Cyrus Show. In the sketch comedy routine, Vanessa Bayer plays Miley — who attempts to interview celebrities (“It’s pretty cool!”), while Jason Sudeikis plays her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. Perhaps we will see the real Miley make an appearance on this skit?

Cyrus has just finished filming So Undercover, co-starring Josh Bowman, and is slated to be a presenter at the Grammy Awards.
