Jaime Pressly files for divorce

Actress Jaime Pressly has filed for divorce after less than two years of marriage.

Divorce papers filed last week state that the couple separated just two days after Christmas — a mere week and a half prior to her DUI arrest in Santa Monica, California.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Pressly requested that the court deny Singh, an entertainment lawyer, any spousal support.

What drove the couple apart? A pal reported that Singh is kind of a jerk. “I think it comes down to she married this guy too fast,” said the insider. “He seemed like a good guy but he is super full of himself and puts her down for everything. He picks fights with her for any little thing.”

This is just the latest in a string of troubles for the actress. In addition to her DUI arrest, the IRS said she owes over $637,000 in federal and state taxes and has had three liens placed on her property, one for $260,370, one for $95,080 and another for $281,699.

Jaime has a three-year-old son from a previous relationship. She and Singh wed in September 2009 at Dick Clark’s estate in Malibu.
