After months of speculation about the newest James Bond and The Constant Gardener Oscar-winner, word is Daniel Craig, 42, and Rachel Weisz, 40, took a break from the grind to spend Christmas together in an English cottage hideaway.

News of the World snapped photos of the happy pair strolling around their winter retreat and got the scoop on their PDA at a local pub.

“They were clinging to each other like honeymooners,” a source told NOTW. “The chemistry was obvious.”

“[They] looked like a romantic couple in a film,” chimed in another source. “They were laughing and chatting and hanging on to each other’s words and stopping to take photos of each other.”

Craig and Weisz met back when they costarred in 2004’s Enduring Love and then reconnected in early 2010 while playing hubby and wife in their upcoming supernatural thriller Dream House.

With Dream House due in theaters September 2011, Weisz has returned to England to shoot The Deep Blue Sea, while Craig has a slew of movies in the works. The sixth Agent 007 is set to return as the ultimate spy hero in Bond 23 and stars in the upcoming films Cowboys & Aliens, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Weisz and Craig have been linked since November, when The Mummy star confirmed her breakup from her beau of nine years, Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky, who is also the father to her four-year-old son Henry Chance. In spite of speculations, however, Craig and Weisz have denied their courtship, while Craig has remained mum about his rumored split from his fiance, US producer Satsuki Mitchell.

These new photos and reports on Craig and Weisz have fueled the fires. Stay tuned to see if Craig and Weisz come out as a pair or get caught kissing in the New Year!
