Katy Perry and Russell Brand: No-present Christmas
Newlyweds Katy Perry and Russell Brand are forgoing Christmas gifts this year. Perry and Brand just want to share the "experience" of the holiday, because they already have everything they want -- each other!
"Honestly, we're not doing presents this year because we're going to do an experience instead," Katy Perry said. "My whole life has been an experience, especially in these past few years and this year in particular. I just feel like I have so much and sometimes I feel like I have too much. What I need to do is give myself and I don't say that to be like, 'Oh, look at humble me pie.' You know? I seriously have all these wonderful things and I need to give them away because some of them don't fit me."
While these quotes are making the rounds on the net, however, chart-topping Perry also recently previewed a Christmas experience that did in fact include gifts.
"There will be me and Russ and a pink Christmas tree and a tofu-urky," Perry said in an interview with U.K.'s Grazia magazine. "We'll open one present the night before because that's the tradition in my family."
Perry, who married the Get Him to the Greek funnyman Russell Brand in India in October, also shared another experience to which she's looking forward.
"I want lots of children," said Perry. "What can I say? He's brilliant. He amazes me every day."
