David Arquette could score $50 million in Courteney Cox divorce
David Arquette and Courteney Cox did not have a prenuptial agreement, which means Arquette could get half of Courteney’s $100 million fortune during their divorce.
Even though the split of David Arquette and Courteney Cox has been amicable thus far, with the news of the absent prenuptial agreement, we can't help but wonder if things are about to get messy.
Will David go after it?
Arquette revealed the news during his tell-all interview with Howard Stern. "Can you count to 50 [million dollars]?" Stern joked upon hearing the news.
"I don't want to talk about that!" said Arquette, to which Stern told him, "You better talk about it with me -- off the air!" Wish I were a fly on the wall during that conversation!
The couple, who shares a 6-year-old daughter together, decided to amicably split after 11 years of marriage. Arquette said he "loves Courteney with all his heart" and even cried the first time he had sex with another woman after the separation. OK -- that, my friend, is a little TMI!
He then went on to say his "wedding ring" is his most "valuable" possession. Oh, that and the 50 million dollars, right David? (Wink, wink!)
David arquette apologizes
Arquette must have had a little interview remorse, because he took to Twitter to apologize for his oversharing:
"I went on Howard Stern to provide clarity and honesty about what I'm experiencing but while doing that I shared too much ... it's alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled. Life is a process of spiritual evolution."
Russell Brand revealed he and Katy Perry also do not have a pre-nup agreement. Could this be the new trend -- and do you think it is a smart one?
