Adam Lambert dropped his glam look to blend in while on vacay in South Beach, FL, and when a photographer recognized the American Idol newsmaker anyway, a tussle ensued. Now, word is, the stalking paparazzo has filed battery charges against Lambert!

It's hard to imagine Adam Lambert trying to blend in, but decked out in board shorts, a tank top and a big straw hat, the Idol alum was in fact trying to go incognito and enjoy some quiet time on the beach in Miami.

"Please everyone forgive me for that hat," a good-natured Lambert tweeted. "I was attempting a disguise- clearly failed. Hahah."

Lambert was spotted by a photog and when the paparazzo started snapping shots, the rocker lost his cool. Pics of the scuffle quickly hit the net, but Lambert notes the shots were pretty one-sided.

"They're real good at provoking, but there ain't any pics or video of the b.s. they spew out...Haha well...I lost my temper for a sec but wow it felt great lol Miami!!!" Lambert tweeted.

Hours after the scuffle, the photog took things to another level. Though he has no injuries to speak of, he went down to the Miami Beach Police Department headquarters to file misdemeanor battery charges against Adam Lambert.

"The victim stated the subject became angry and started running towards him in an aggressive manner," outlines the report. "As the victim began to run away, the subject grabbed the victim's backpack where the camera was placed. The subject wrestled the victim to the ground forcefully. A crowd began to gather and the subject fled toward the boardwalk. The victim didn't sustain any bruises or lacerations. Victim also refused crime scene photos."

With things taking a legal turn, Lambert again took to Twitter today.

"Battery? Nope. I attempted to grab a camera, no punches were thrown and no one was on the ground.... It was literally harmless. If embarrassment is a crime- that's all I'm guilty of," Lambert tweeted.

It remains to be seen whether this battery case will actually go anywhere, but if it does and Lambert is convicted, he could face up to one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
