Tennis star Venus Williams turns heads once again by showing up to the U.S. Open sporting a super short, skimpy outfit, she claims was a tribute to New York.

Venus Williams shocked the crowd this weekend during the U.S. Open – not by beating Israel's Shahar Peer and taking a spot in the tournament's quarterfinals but by wearing yet another crazy, scandalous outfit on the court.

Williams showed up to her match on Sunday wearing a self-designed, extremely short and tight hot pink outfit adorned with rhinestone fireworks. The wildest part about the outfit was how her dress would rise up and show off the flesh-colored underwear Williams had underneath.

When questioned about her unconventional outfit choice, Williams replied that the outfit was supposed to be a tribute to New York, with fireworks bursting out of it. Williams also noted that this year, her outfit choices are all reflective of the places she plays in and that if she makes it into the finals she has three more outfits she plans to unveil. One can only speculate what kind of design/lack of clothing Williams will show up in next.

Now that Williams has given a reason behind her crazy tennis outfits, one can sort of understand why she donned that crazy black lace French maid outfit during the French open earlier this year and wore that flapper dress during her match in Italy.
