Saturday Night Live adds three new comedians
With comedy veteran Will Forte set to make his Saturday Night Live exit, the iconic sketch show brought in some back-up. Watch out late night comedy fans, the newest SNL cast members might leave you in stitches.
NBC's Saturday Night Live has reportedly scouted three new comedians to join the ranks of the world's funniest, in my opinion, late night sketch show.
According to The Comic's Comic, Paul Brittain, Vanessa Bayer and Taran Killam will allegedly make their Saturday Night Livedebut during the 36th season.
So, who are these fresh funny faces tapped to take on NBC and the biggest comedic stage in history? All three of the Saturday Night Live newcomers really aren't that new to comedy. All three come from an improv background.
Reports say Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer already put Chicago in laughs performing with iO Chicago in a city known for producing some of the best comedic chops in the business. All right, maybe I'm biased because it's my hometown.
While Brittain and Bayer hail from the Midwest stage, Taran Killam will reportedly come to Saturday Night Live straight from the LA troupe, The Groundlings.
Charna Halpern, the iO Chicago founder, allegedly confirmed Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer's casting on the NBC show to The Chicago Tribune.
Reports say Access Hollywood tried to contact a rep for Saturday Night Live, but no comment was made.
