Russell Brand heading to The Simpsons?

The British are coming — to The Simpsons. Allegedly, British funnyman Russell Brand will be joining Halle Berry and Ricky Gervais on the iconic animated series The Simpsons.

Previous reports confirmed Halle Berry and Ricky Gervais were heading to The Simpsons to guest voice an episode titled, Angry Dad — The Movie. Now reports are surfacing that Russell Brand has been added to the star-laden episode of The Simpsons.

Reports are saying Russell Brand was seen leaving New York after attending a recording session for Fox channel’s popular sitcom. Apparently, Brand will be lending his voice to a character on the episode he knows quite well — himself.

It shouldn’t be hard for the outrageous Russell Brand to bring his cartoon self to life. The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star is known for his over the top antics and raunchy humor, which makes fans love him even more.

In The Simpsons episode, Angry Dad — The Movie, Bart and his wacky dad Homer travel to Los Angeles after being nominated for an Academy Award for the animated short based off of Bart’s cartoon webseries, Angry Dad.

Russell Brand has been keeping busy these days by filming a slew of movies including the now released Get Him to the Greek and the remake of the classic Arthur.

Not to mention our resident bad boy is planning a wedding with his fiancee California Gurls singer, Katy Perry.

Imagine it, Halle Berry, Ricky Gervais and Russell Brand all packed into an episode of The Simpsons. Two Brits and a Berry. Can’t get any better than that.

The episode is slated to appear during the 2011 season of The Simpsons.
