Bonnie Wright and Jamie Campbell Bower engaged
Young love bloomed between a vampire and a wizard on the Harry Potter set! Eight months later, Bonnie Wright, 19, is set to wed Potter costar Jamie Campbell Bower, 21, who is also a member of the dreaded Volturi in The Twilight Saga.
Though their storylines don't overlap, the pair met while working on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where Wright plays Harry's love interest, the red-headed Ginny Weasley. Bower joined the Potter cast for the final installments of the series and plays the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald.
While Wright moonlights as a student at London's University of the Arts, her hunky beau is considered an up-and-comer in England. Not only did he play Volturi vampire Caius in The Twilight Saga, but he also worked with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
Dating rumors first surfaced in October, but the couple didn't confirm their status until February.
"It's not like we kept it a secret intentionally, but we didn't go around telling everyone either," Wright told People. "We met at a party, and we just really clicked straight away. He's a great guy and we just enjoy spending time together."
Now word is that he's proposed and she's said yes.
"We are all absolutely shocked and surprised and can't believe that Jamie has asked Bonnie to marry him," a Potter set source told The Daily Mail. "They met on the set of the movie and Jamie fell for Bonnie really badly. He says they are completely in love. It all seems very whirlwind, but they both say it's the real deal."
The pair hasn't confirmed the big news and it bares mention that the "source" says they met onset, while Wright says they met at a party. Hmm...
One thing is for certain: Wright is sporting a flashy new bauble on her ring finger!
The wedding should be one interesting affair, not to mention a paparazzi and tween dream. Imagine having your special day toasted by the likes of Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Dakota Fanning, Clemence Poesy, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and maybe even Depp and Bonham Carter!
What's more, by bringing together a host of wizards, vampires and maybe even a few wolves, the union may even bring peace to the Potter-Twilight rivalry. One can only hope.
Assuming the rumors are true, SheKnows sends congratulations and good luck to the young couple.
