Rielle Hunter upset at GQ photos
In her new GQ interview, John Edwards' former mistress, Rielle Hunter, speaks to how the romance started, what happened when she got pregnant with his child and how things are going now. A juicy story indeed, but it’s the photos of her in a white men's shirt, pearl necklace and no pants that have everyone talking today and Hunter in tears.
In recent months, we've heard about John Edwards' extramarital affair from his soon-to-be-ex-wife Elizabeth Edwards and his former aid Andrew Young, both of whom wrote tell alls and hit the news circuit. His former mistress finally took her chance to tell her side of the story, but that hasn't turned out so well for her, according to Barbara Walters.
The View's grande dame took a moment this morning to share highlights from a call she received from Hunter, who claims she cried for two hours after seeing the images that accompany the story.
"She said that when she saw the pictures, she found them repulsive," Walters recounts. "When I asked: If that was the case, why did you pose that way? She said she trusted Mark Seliger, who she said was a brilliant photographer. She went with the flow. He took a lot of pictures and he thought there might be one like that, that showed her being sexy…. She thought one of those photographs was okay and would be sexy and there were others that were just beautiful headshots, but GQ picked photos to just hit one note."
That one note is sexy. In fact, even the photo with her daughter, in which she herself is wearing sweatpants, manages to hits that note.
GQ is already responding to her complaints with a proverbial role of the eyes.
"Rielle is a smart woman," GQ reporter Lisa DePaulo said on ABC's Good Morning America. "She knows what she wore and what she was doing in the photo shoot."
One would think Edwards' one-time videographer would be a bit savvier, especially as she seems unconcerned during the shoot, but SheKnows doesn't want to guess what happened behind the scenes.
