Tiger Woods announces return to golf
Tiger Woods has announced he is returning to golf.
Lock up your daughters: Tiger is back!
Woods announced he will return to the sport that brought him fame and fortune in April at the Masters Tournament.
"The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect," Woods said in a written statement. "After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like I'm ready to start my season at Augusta."
The tournament will be held April 5 to 11 at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia. The club's chairman, Billy Paine, is grateful Tiger's return will bring crowds -- and cash -- back to the game.
"We support Tiger's decision to return to competitive golf beginning at this year's Masters Tournament," Payne said. "Additionally, we support and encourage his stated commitment to continue the significant work required to rebuild his personal and professional life."
Tiger revealed he has, in fact, been in sex rehab and that all is not yet forgiven in the Woods' household. "I have undergone almost two months of inpatient therapy, and I am continuing my treatment," he said in Tuesday's statement. "Although I'm returning to competition, I still have a lot of work to do in my personal life."
