Tiger Woods in sex rehab
As Tiger Woods' transgressions splashed across headlines both here and abroad, the remaining question seems to have been solved. Where has Tiger Woods gone? Woods appears to be in to sex rehab.
According to a writer for the New York Times magazine, blogger Benoit Denizet-Lewis and author of America Anonymous: Eight Addicts in Search of a Life, said a source is confirming that Tiger Woods is in a sex rehab clinic in Mississippi.
Last week during the Haiti relief efforts among celebrities rumors swirled that Russell Simmons called Woods at a rehab clinic in Arizona but according to this latest post, the professional golfer and professional pitchman is currently in Mississippi get help for sex addiction.
Denizet-Lewis had spent time at the clinic a few years ago when he wrote his book and explained the programs rely heavily on group therapy sessions along with family and couples therapy. He noted if the golfer "and his wife, Elin Nordegren, are serious about repairing the marriage, she will be spending some time in treatment with Tiger."
In addition, the reporter mentioned the treatment at Pine Grove is not atypical for sex addiction centers by including treatment for family and couples. A typical requirement is signing a celibacy contract. Essentially it states a promise to not have sex with anyone while in treatment.
Denizet-Lewis notes that his book follows eight people strugging with various addictions (drugs, alcohol, food, sex, gambling) for three years. One of the addicts he wrote about spent six weeks in Hattiesburg at the program which was founded by one of the world's leading experts on sex addiction.
As it appears that Woods is trying to mend his former transgressions and alter his future behavior, additional questions remain: Will Elin ultimately leave him or try to repair the marriage? Will this further impact his endorsement deals? When will he return to his golf game and will it affect it?
The future will tell but until then, at least Woods' whereabouts are a mystery no more.
