The Ugly Truth: out on November 10 on DVDThe truth about The Ugly Truth

Heigl and Butler's rom-com showcases the battles of the sexes, circa 2009. Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) is a morning show producer whose search for Mr Right has her perpetually single.
As her morning show's ratings dip, producers pair her with Mike Chadway (Gerard Butler), a less-than-sensitive TV host whose talent is he reveals The Ugly Truth about how men and women are wired.

Abby, facing the possibility of having her show cancelled, decides to make the teaming with Mike work, even if she completely despises him and his archaic images of manhood. But, when Abby decides she is ready for a man in her life, she is surprised at the level of aid Butler's Mike can provide her and getting to The Ugly Truth about men.

SheKnows caught up with Heigl and Butler for a chat when the film debuted summer 2009. Don't miss our interview!

Butler and Heigl do have great comic chemistry even if the film has so many cliches of every other guy-girl battle we've ever seen on screen. But, that is where Butler and Heigl's charm manages to save the day and makes The Ugly Truth worth watching.

We hope that Butler and Heigl reunite someday in another project that can further their talents and screen chemistry even further.
