Ice Age Dawn of the Dinosaurs debuts on DVD and Blu-ray
Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs debuts on DVD and Blu-ray and if your kids enjoyed the first two, they will adore the third Ice Age incarnation.
When Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs was finished at the world's box office, it had amassed a fortune of $800 million in sales. Now audiences have the opportunity to bring the crazy cast of characters home.
The Ice Age films are a terrific series of children's movies that adults also can enjoy. The casting is impeccable with Ray Romano as the lead and supporting vocal talents Denis Leary and John Leguizamo. Joining the fray in the second film was Queen Latifah as Romano's love interest. The chemistry did not suffer, it was only enahcned.
With the third Ice Age film bringing us to the Dawn of the Dinosaurs, a new caravan of characters arrives adding to the thrills and laughs. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs star Bill Hader joins the cast as does Simon Pegg and SNL and current hot comedienne of the moment, Kristin Wiig. Let's not forget the Glee-scene-stealing Jane Lynch too!
The Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs double DVD pack includes the theatrical film, plus an additional animated movie starring the little guy who commences each of the Ice Age films – Scrat! In The Scrat Pack, the nut-seeker gets his own Hollywood treatment. It's a fun film, but the kids will enjoy it legions more than adults!
In Dawn of the Dinosaurs, the world is changing for our heroes. Changing physically and also through the evolution of the "herd" led by Romano. Romano and Latifah's Manny and Ellie are awaiting the birth of their first child, while Leary's Diego is wondering if he still has "it" as a fighting saber-toothed tiger.
The star of Ice Age 3 is really Leguizamo and his sloth Sid. By "adopting" a family of dinosaurs, he sets out into the changing and dangerous physical world to begin life as a single sloth dad. Knowing Sid really has dinosaur babies that a mother is seeking, the gang heads out following his trail hoping to find Sid before the mother of those dinosaur eggs!
