Christina Applegate, celebrity friends raise breast cancer funds
Inspired by Christina Applegate and so many other breast cancer survivors, celebrities from Fergie to American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi have designed t-Shirts for auction.
All proceeds will go to Christina Applegate's foundation Right Action for Women and Applegate could not be more touched by the response from moms to A-list celebrities.
"I'm overwhelmed by so many familiar faces who have designed a t-shirt to help Right Action for Women which is all about getting high-risk women screened appropriately for breast cancer," said Applegate in an organization statement. "I've been honored to be this year's Lee National Denim Day ambassador and this t-shirt embodies the spirit and power of the campaign."
Celeb t-shirt artists
Fellow Black Eyed Peas band-mates are joining Fergie in designing a t-Shirt. Apl.de.ap and Taboo are merely two of the celebs turned t-Shirt designers including Ashley Tisdale, the cast of Desperate Housewives, Gabrielle Union, Tiffani Thiessen and Private Practice's Tim Daly.
Bidding begins September 22 and runs through October 2. Visit CharityFolks.com to join in the auction fun that produces big cash for research in the war on breast cancer.
Limited edition t-Shirts are also available to support the cause if you cannot help in the auction. The "I love life" T-Shirt is available for $19.99 and five dollars goes to
Applegate's Right Action for Women.
Applegate's Right Action for Women seeks to educate women about what specifically it means to be a high risk breast cancer individual and how early detection can save lives. It saved Christina's!
Right Action for Women provides aid to women who are at higher risk for breast cancer and cannot afford the treatment themselves.
As part of the Lee National Denim Day on October 2, Applegate and her foundation are urging millions of women to wear their jeans to work that Friday. Visit denimday.com to sign up and find out how five dollars will be donated for each person wearing jeans!
