Mariah Carey versus Eminem
We have heard so much about Rihanna and Chris Brown lately that news of feuding among other award-winning artists has taken a back seat -- for instance, Mariah Carey and Eminem.
Eminem has taken aim at Mariah Carey for her single, Obsession, which appears to poke fun at the rapper.
You may recall they dated back in 2001. Although Mariah was in the news recently for her rendition of I'll Be There at the Michael Jackson memorial, she's been in more linked lately to squabbles with Eminem.
Em has gloated about being with her and how she gave him "somethin' to smile about." We won't continue the rant, however; Eminem has become very public about his past with Mariah, even though the rapper is well aware Carey is married to Nick Cannon.
He rapped on his new song, The Warning, about how he has the same tattoo that's already been on Nick's back and how apparently he's obsessed (hence, her new song).
Mariah Carey has been linked to several A-list celebrities in the past, such as New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter and music executive and first husband, Tony Mottola. Carey dated Eminem (aka Marshall Mathers) in 2001, and he's not letting her forget it now.
Cannon is well aware of the back and forth. He blogged that Eminem is "still obsessed with my wife." In return, Eminem referenced Cannon in his song, Bagpipes From Baghdad -- which leads us to wonder if the back and forth song jabs will ever subside.
It gets worse. Eminem mentions pictures of Mariah. All we can say is, we hope the feud -- and its extension into their songs -- ends soon. As Eminem raps: "But if I'm embarrassing me, I'm embarrassing you and don't you dare say it isn't true..."
