Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle has been hospitalized for exhaustion following her loss on Britain's Got Talent.
Boyle's bed rest
Boyle was admitted to London's Priory Clinic on Sunday, one day after losing the Britain's Got Talent crown to dance troupe Diversity.
"She has been seen by her private GP, who supports her decision to take a few days out for rest and recovery," says TV company TalkbackThames.Local police confirmed that doctors were called to assist a woman under the Mental Health Act and that the woman voluntarily went to the clinic, without giving Boyle's name."She needs a complete rest," says Britain's Got Talent judge Piers Morgan, who spoke with Boyle at length before her hospitalization. "She is completely mentally and physically exhausted. She handled it with considerable aplomb for five or six weeks but in the last week it started to get to her. She had trouble sleeping and eating. She found it very hard to deal with the negativity in the media.""Nobody has had to put up with the kind of attention Susan has had. Nobody could have predicted it," Morgan continued. "It has been crazy, she has gone from anonymity to being the most downloaded woman in history."Priory Clinic is known for treating celebrities for a range of psychotic problems, as well as drug and alcohol abuse.
