Medium says goodbye to NBC

Medium has its season finale a little late in the season. The Patricia Arquette show, adored by fans, is moving from NBC to CBS in the fall and perhaps this is NBC’s way of getting in one last dig.

This past Friday, I visited the home of Lorelai and Rory Gilmore. Standing in that front yard, I felt just like a Gilmore Girl and it was a neat treat! Yes, I am one of those people who gets a thrill out of knowing that Jared Padalecki stood on that same patch of grass as he washed Rory’s car in a desperate attempt to get her back when she started drifting away from him. Thanks Lenny (my Warner Brothers tour guide) for taking me to that happy place!

On the opposite end of the spectrum from Gilmore Girls, we have Harper’s Island. This past Saturday, we found out that Abby’s mother was a former lover of serial killer Wakefield which makes me wonder about Abby’s true parentage. We also found out that the burned man was a former deputy who was caught in a firetrap set by Wakefield but beyond that, I don’t see how he fits into the puzzle. It may not be the highest rated show on TV, but I’m sticking with it until the end.

In somewhat historic TV news, Jay Leno passes the torch to Conan O’Brian who takes over the hosting duties of The Tonight Show. I feel the urge to utter, the king is dead, long live the king.

What’s on tonight?

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here

Think Survivor meets Celebrity Apprentice as ten celebrities are dropped in the jungle where they are asked to compete in a series of challenges devised by the viewers at home. The contestants include Janice Dickinson, Lou Diamond Philips, Heidi and Spencer and a few with even more dubious celebrity status such as American Idol’s Sanjaya and Patti Blagojevich, wife of ousted Illinois Governor Rod.

Watch I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here starting at 8:00 on NBC.

Medium bids goodbye to NBC

It’s the season finale of Medium and Allison dreams that her entire family is massacred in the woods.

Now that’s sure to shake her up. Medium will return in the fall but the show will make the jump from NBC to CBS.

If you watch Food Network Challenge, you know Buddy Valastro.

Buddy and his big Italian family run Carlo’s Bakery in Hoboken, NJ and now they’re starring in their own reality show on TLC.

Like Ace of Cakes, the series revolves around the crazy cakes that Buddy loves to make, but this show has the added family twist and that really sets it apart.

Watch Cake Boss on TLC at 10:00.
