Grey's Anatomy turns 100, Idol stuns Allison
American Idol gave us the purest definition of surprise: an expression of complete and utter disbelief as in Kris Allen's face when Ryan Seacrest told him he was the first person in the top three on American Idol.
This was not acting job, as evidenced by Kris' earlier statement about how he never thought he'd make it this far and I'm with him on that.
I adore Kris, but I thought his lack luster performance of Come Together would have him coming apart come Wednesday night.
Instead, it was Allison who was eliminated leaving an interesting range of guys in the finale. Adam Lambert is the star, but I'm not sure it's a lock for him to win.
Look at David Cook winning over media darling David Archuleta. I think Danny Gokey could win this in the end.
It's going to be a nail-biter of an American Idol finish.
Tonight's TV must watch:
Watch Grey's Anatomy
Top of the must-see list tonight is the landmark 100th episode of Grey's Anatomy. It's wedding day for Meredith ( Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and they're not the only ones feeling the love, and the stress.
Creator Shonda Rhimes says the episode is a "love letter to the fans," so you can expect plenty of winks and surprises. I'm covered in that this episode fulfills my recommended daily requirement of Jeffrey Dean Morgan but I'm worried about what that means for Izzie (Katherine Heigl).
Don't miss the cast of Grey's Anatomy talking up their 100th episode here.
If we've learned anything from Supernatural, it's that an appearance by Jeffrey Dean usually means that someone is headed for that great trauma center in the sky.
Jeffrey Dean isn't making an appearance on tonight's Supernatural (that I know of) but there will be a parade of other familiar characters as Sam (Jared Padalecki) comes apart at the seams thanks to a forced detox. Big brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) and father-figure Bobby (Jim Beaver) lock Sam up for his own good in hopes of breaking his demon blood sucking habit. But intervention is never easy for the addict or his loved ones, so you better keep the tissues handy because this one is going to hurt.
Watch Michael J. Fox: Adventures Of An Incurable Optimist
Michael J. Fox returns to TV for a one-hour special that takes a look at the true nature of optimism. Diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease eighteen years ago, Fox has become an advocate for living life to the fullest despite the hardships life throws your way. In this 10 pm ABC special, Fox travels the globe seeking out true stories of hope from both famous figures and everyday people. He and everyone he meets along the way, are all living proof of what the human spirit can endure if only you put your mind it to.
Odds and ends
Project Runway fans the wait is...not really over. Tonight, Bravo pulls the wraps off their designer knock-off The Fashion Show.
Isaac Mizrahi and Kelly Rowland play host to this familiar series that has designers competing in wild challenges in hopes of taking home the top prize. The only twist here is the addition of a studio audience loaded with people from the fashion industry who will help decide who stays and who goes.
The Fashion Show gets my "Potential Train Wreck" award for this poor imitation that lacks the charm and wit of the original...judge for yourself. The Fashion Show premieres tonight at 10:00 only on Bravo.

According to Women's Wear Daily, designer Anna Sui will be producing a line of clothing for Target, all inspired by the CW series Gossip Girl.TV Week is guessing that a rise in the ratings last week will have Nathan Fillion working on a second season of Castle. That's news that makes me gloriously happy.Photo credit:
