The premiere was a star-studded affair and included visits by Amanda Bynes, How I Met Your Mother’s Neil Patrick Harris, Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester and The Office’s Rainn Wilson.Any thoughts that the Star Trek franchise had fallen on hard times in the early part of this century had to be put to rest with the frenzied Hollywood premiere that is usually an indication of a blockbuster to come.Stars of Star Trek will not comment on any aspect of future missions for the franchise, but if Hollywood’s support for the JJ Abrams reboot is any indication, audiences will be marveling at Zachary Quinto’s Spock for generations.”We have not had one meeting about that,” Abrams says of sequel talk.

Star Trek allows new viewers to discover why these characters have resonated for four decades.
Old audiences will relish in enough nods to the past to keep the die-hards glued while Abrams’ vision keenly allows for audiences all off ages and backgrounds to embrace a fantastic story.
