Having Brown, parents groups argue, participate in the festivities sends the wrong message to children about domestic violence. Considering Brown's charges of domestic abuse against Rihanna, Brown did not want to bring a dark shadow over the Kids Choice Awards and decided to withdraw from his Favorite Song and Favorite Male Singer category -- a category that Brown won last year.
Rihanna, meanwhile, was silent on the Kids Choice Awards hubbub. Brown and Rihanna have become topic â€˜A' across America since their February 8 altercation.
