The Bachelor’s Melissa Rycroft is replacing the injured Nancy O’Dell on Dancing with the Stars. The show premieres tonight!
Extending her fifteen minutes of fame and hey, who can blame her after getting dissed by Jason Mesnick on The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft is putting on those dancing shoes. ABC has not confirmed the report but a little birdy told us…
That’s right, the former Bachelor fiance will join Dancing with the Stars for its debut on March 9. By having Melissa Rycroft is replace Nancy O’Dell, host of Access Hollywood, ABC has found fantastic synergy as only a major network can achieve.
O’Dell had to withdraw from the show due to a knee injury and pending surgery.
Talk about pressure! Melissa has not have sufficient time to rehearse and yet she’ll be rumba-ing with the best of them on Dancing with the Stars premiere in merely hours!
In other news, you may recall singer Jewel also suffered an injury which took her out of the competition. Girls Next Door Holly Madison is supposed to be taking Jewel’s spot in Dancing with the Stars.
As for the good news? Once they recover from their injuries, both Nancy O’Dell and Jewel have expressed interest in returning to Dancing with the Stars.
