American Idol’s final top 12 was the first to have more hits, than misses. I had more than three favorites on this round but I’d choose Scott, Jorge and Lil as my top three. I liked Ju’not even though his performance didn’t wow me, and Kristen — ugh, what were they thinking with that dress and hair? She looked like a wind-up doll and it put me off to her totally.
I will agree with the American Idol majority and say I’m tiring of this four-judge thing. There’s just not enough different that can be said about any one contestant to make it necessary. Simon’s brutally honest, Kara looks for personality and a package, Randy has the record producer eye, Paula has…well, nothing. There’s no good information there whatsoever. What happened to the rumors that she was leaving?Toddlers and Tiaras was a West Virginia hoot last night! That one sassy little four-year-old just stole the show when she turned to the cameraman and demanded, “stop filming me!” Personally, I think pageants get a bad rap. Yes, the parents are obsessed to the point of crazy at times but have you seen football in Texas? Stage moms in Hollywood? Even those academically crazed parents who start preparing for Harvard the minute their kid is born? And don’t get me started on people who show dogs.Speaking of walking the runway, the models rule tonight as both America’s Next Top Model and Make Me a Supermodel both return to TV.Let’s see what else is on tonight.
