Entertainment news update 1: Gisele engaged or not?

What’s the deal with Gisele and Tom Brady? Are the supermodel and mega football player engaged or not? Yeah, we all heard about Gisele’s lavish proposal on Christmas Eve as there were four dozen roses on a private jet to Boston. So why is it that Tom’s parents can’t separate fact from fiction when it comes to Gisele?

His mom, Galynn Brady, told E! News that she knows nothing about it and has no comment. This past weekend, Tom’s dad, Tom Sr indicated he didn’t know a thing about it. “Nobody told me. We talked to him and there’s nothing to say. It’s rumor, rumor, rumor.”

As how the blushing fiance or simple girlfriend is doing? Gisele’s sister denied the story as well. Come to think of it, Gisele has not been spotted wearing an engagement ring either. Hmmm. Stay tuned…

Entertainment news update 2: Grey’s Anatomy expansion!

Well, sort of. Grey’s Anatomy star Chyler Leigh is in the family way. Yeah, you heard it right despite how 1950’s that sounds: she’s pregnant with her third child! The 26 year-old and hubby Nathan West are psyched about their latest addition.

While her pregnancy will not be written into the Grey’s Anatomy story line, she’ll still be playing Lexie, the half-sister of Grey’s Anatomy favorite, Meredith.

Entertainment news update 3: Cate Blanchett’s cover

Who’s classier than thou? That would be you, darling and you don’t have to answer. Ok, who’s almost as classy as thou? That would be Cate Blanchett for all you glamicious starlets keeping score.

Cate Blanchett stars in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button and the 39 year-old’s star is shining brighter than ever. In the February cover story of Vanity Fair, Blanchett tells readers that her husband popped the question after a few short weeks of dating and in return, she responded in the affirmative. “I couldn’t not,” Blanchett tells the magazine.

Cate and husband Andrew Upton are the proud parents of three boys and she doesn’t dismiss the possibility about adding to their brood. “Don’t close those doors, Blanchett says. The world is very overpopulated, but we do make nice ones.”

Entertainment news update 4: Sopranos suicide

Considering The Sopranos ended quite a while ago, the show has been in the press a lot lately and not for good cause. John Costelloe portrayed the short-order cook, Jim “Johnny Cakes” Witowski on the Sopranos back in 2006. Costelloe committed suicide one week before Christmas in Brooklyn. John Costelloe’s character Johnny was the gay lover of Vito Spotagore, a mobster. When his family was unable to reach him, police was called to his home and discovered his body. Costelloe currently stars in the flick Doubt starring Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman. May Costelloe rest in peace.
