Mark Ruffalo's brother dead of gunshot wound
The brother of actor Mark Ruffalo has died of a gunshot wound inflicted a week ago.
Mark Ruffalo's brother, a 39-year-old hairstylist to the stars, Scott Ruffalo was removed from life support shortly after 10 PM Monday, mere hours after the main suspect in the shooting turned herself in to police. Ruffalo was shot in the head a week ago in Beverly Hills.
Shaha Mishaal Adham, 26, has been arrested in connection with the murder. The woman is said to be related to the Saudi royal family. Police are keeping mum on her relationship, if any, to Ruffalo.
"We are releasing very little information at this time, because it is an intense ongoing investigation," says Lt. Tony Lee. "Our first priority is in gaining a conviction."
Adham is currently being held without bail.
The family of the slain man released the following statement:
"Mark Ruffalo and his family deeply appreciate the outpouring of prayers and support during this most difficult time of the passing of Scott Ruffalo, beloved son, brother and husband. The funeral service will be private. A memorial fund has been established in Scott Ruffalo's name."
Scott Ruffalo was married to Luzelena Ruffalo and stepfather to Lucinda, although Beverly Hills neighbors claim he lived alone. Brother Mark Ruffalo has starred in 13 Going on 30, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Zodiac.
