You know it’s almost Christmas when ABC airs Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving and a fulfilling Black Friday! I was at Walmart at 5 a.m. scooping up the deals. It was jam packed but everyone was behaving themselves and as polite as you can be under the circumstances. There was even one woman who took it upon herself to get the checkout lines organized, bravo!
I was hoping to pick up some Blu-Ray DVD deals on Black Friday but the player I bought turned out to be a dud, which was followed by a fight to get the manufacturer to honor the warranty. What I learned from this experience? What looks like a good deal, isn’t always a good deal. Next time I’ll stick to the people I usually do business with even if I have to pay a little more.
As far as TV goes, there are a few shows running new episodes but mostly you’ll be seeing reruns from here until New Year’s. There will be plenty of holiday specials and movies but it’s also a great time to catch up on those full season TV on DVD sets you have on your shelf. I gave myself an early birthday present of the full run of Wild Wild West, 87 hours worth. Now that’s what I call a marathon!
