ABC pulls out the big guns tonight with Lindsay Lohan on Ugly Betty. Be sure to check out News and Notable below for details on this now short-lived visit to Mode by Lindsay.
The CW ruled on my TV last night and it will again tonight! It was Cover Girl commercial time on America’s Next Top Model and this year they got smart and gave the girls a teleprompter. Still, it’s not as easy as it looks to walk, talk, and show off the product so kudos to everyone one of them. In the end it was sweet Analeigh who really rocked the job and kicky Joslyn who was eliminated. I liked her, but I don’t think she had the strength to make it work.
Next up was the new Tyra Banks-produced series Stylista! This one is right up my alley as contestants vie for a job as a junior editor at Elle. Lots of over-the-top personalities in this one and it was catfights on first sight.

There was a surprise ending on Top Design last night when Andrea asked to go home even though it would be Ondine who would leave if she didn’t. While I agree that she asked to leave in a moment of high-emotion, she might as well go because she wasn’t going to win, anyway. A good designer, she just didn’t have the confidence to see her designs through. I’m still campaigning for Nathan to win as I love all of his designs.
Tonight On TV – Thursday, October 23
ABC has Lindsay Lohan on Ugly Betty, (check the news below for the latest gossip on this match-up), then Derek takes all the credit on Grey’s Anatomy and a Vietnam vet is murdered on Life on Mars.
On CBS it’s an hour of Survivor: Gabon, then it’s freaky, frozen murder victims on CSI, and on Eleventh Hour people are getting paralyzed after lunch.
NBC has their usual comedy line-up of My Name is Earl, Kath & Kim, and The Office. The new SNL Weekend Update Thursday fills the 9:30 p.m. slot and then Dubenko rejoins the team on ER.
Fox has more baseball or local programming depending where you live.
The CW has our heroes facing their own demons tonight. On Smallville, Davis realizes that his blackouts may be deadly — to others and on Supernatural, Dean catches a ghost disease that could literally have him scared to death.

The New York Post is reporting trouble on the set between Lindsay and Ugly Betty star America Ferrera. It’s true that Lindsay’s story arc has been cut from six episodes to four, but the reason is up for grabs. Producers say it was just the way the story worked out but the rumor mill says Lindsay’s bad behavior (including an unintentional (?) mooning) got her canned.
It’s been a rough month for Gossip Girl with Blake Lively’s dad seriously injured in a car accident and now we learn that Taylor Momsen is recovering from a “life-threatening throat infection,” says US Magazine.
In much less dramatic news, Moonlight star Jason Dohring is joining the cast of the HBO series Washingtonienne.
