David Arquette guests on Daisies while Stylista gets going
It was quite the upset on Dancing with the Stars last night when Toni Braxton was sent home instead of Cloris or Lance who were in the judge's bottom two. After the show, pro dancer Julianne Hough was put in an ambulance with stomach pains, so keep a good thought for her today. And that huge Macy's Stars of Dance number that took them six months to prepare? It didn't live up to the hype. Bring back the Rockettes.
Fringe was extra gruesome last night but I still enjoyed the twists and turns in the plot. Radioactive people as weapons! How do you scan for that at the airport? Sorry, but can you remove your brain before stepping through the archway? Olivia was a tad edgy throughout the episode, come to find she tried to kill her abusive stepdad as a child and now the guy taunts her every year on her birthday. Nice, huh?
My late, late night viewing was the old sci-fi classic Them on Chiller. James Arness, James Whitmore, and Santa Claus battle giant ants in the LA aqueduct system. Actually, it's not as silly as it sounds, it's really one of the better movies of its kind and a real favorite of mine.
Did you watch the new Animal Planet show Living with the Wolfman that premiered last night? But first, take a look at what's on tonight.
Tonight on TV - Wednesday, October 22ABC has David Arquette Pushing Daisies, Ghostbuster Ernie Hudson guests on Private Practice, and Patrick wants to tell the truth (how refreshing) on Dirty Sexy Money.
Although, I have to admit that the CW is first on my list tonight with Whitney from last cycle and those tricky Cover Girl commercials on America's Next Top Model. Then it's the premiere of Stylista. Eleven contestants vie for the position as a junior editor at Elle magazine.
On NBC Mike tries to keep a dam bomber at bay on Knight Rider, there's more money up for grabs on Deal or No Deal, and it's the constant juggling act of work vs. home on Lipstick Jungle.
Fox is talking' baseball with the first game of the 2008 World Series or local programming depending where you live.
CBS starts with their comedies, The New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried, then the Criminal Minds gang goes after a killer who stages traffic accidents and finally it's the death of a corporate "fixer" on CSI: NY.
Over on cable
Bravo, oddly, has a movie tonight, which is followed by a new episode of Real Housewives of Atlanta.
There's a Ghost Hunters marathon on SCI FI Channel, including one new episode at 9:00.
Discovery is all new with Time Warp, MythBusters and Prototype This.
For some spooky, sort of family, fun, ABCFamily is airing Beetlejuice followed by more Halloween videos on America's Funniest Home Video.
News and notableWorst Week's week got a little better with an episode for two more episodes from CBS. While ABC handed Private Practice a full-season pick-up.
Vince Vaughn is developing a half hour comedy for Fox about two guys adjusting to life after college.
Prison Break's William Fichtner is taking the lead in a new TNT pilot called Night and Day.
