The Women
What is not to love about the 2008 adaptation of the 1930's classic, The Women? Meg Ryan and Annette Bening head an all-star cast about a group of wealthy friends in the New York suburbs who come to grips with the fact that one of their friend's (Ryan) husbands is having an affair with the 'perfume girl' played by Eva Mendes.

The outstanding cast also includes Carrie Fisher, Debi Mazar, Cloris Leachman, Jada Pinkett-Smith and Candice Bergin in this triumph from writer-director Anne English that took 14 years to get to the big screen.

An all female film, it's about time!

Righteous Kill
At the other end of the gender spectrum is Righteous Kill. The film is also known as the triumphant pairing of legends Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. The acting legends star as police office partners in this eagerly anticipated film.

Burn After Reading
The follow-up to No Country For Old Men from Joel and Ethan Coen find the brothers bringing the action to a health club where Brad Pitt, John Malkovich and Frances McDormand join forces to create another masterful Coen farce.

Up next...from Keira Knightley's Duchess to Kate Hudson's Best Friend's Girl, the female film stars are shining bright.
