House premieres on Fox with Biggest Loser: Families on NBC

More season premieres tonight including House along with Biggest Loser: Families and it’s the season finale of Big Brother 10.

The highlight of my TV viewing last night was Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles! John’s got a new girlfriend and the whole episode had this weird Silkwood feel about it. Am I the only one who noticed?

Next week the entire TV universe explodes with newness. Until then…let’s see what House and Biggest Loser are up against.

Tonight on TV, Tuesday, September 16

ABC has the season finale of Wipeout and I know you won’t want to miss that. It’s followed by Primetime: UFO’s.

House returns to Fox for another cranky year

Fox has the season premiere of House and then it’s my new favorite show, Fringe.

CBS goes with a rerun of NCIS, then the season finale of Big Brother, and ends with a repeat of Without a Trace.

NBC has the season premire of The Biggest Loser: Families, and then follows with a repeat of Law & Order: SVU.

The CW has new episodes of 90210 and Privileged.

Over on cable

ABC Family is all new tonight with the season premiere of Lincoln Heights followed by a new Greek.

Over on Bravo Rachel Zoe dresses Debra Messing and they’re still Making the Band on MTV.

Eureka is new on SCI FI and it’s a trip to Sicily for some Bizarre Foods on The Travel Channel at 10:00.

News and notable

Variety is reporting a new show in the works for Fox about a schizophrenic female heart surgeon. Ooh, sign me up!

SCI FI Channel is talking about Cha$e, their new reality game show that is basically Running Man without the death part.

MTV has decided to retire TRL (Total Request Live) but no exact date has been given for the final airing.

Versus has developed their own version of E!’s The Soup called, predictably, Sports Soup. It will begin airing in October. I’d watch that and I don’t even like sports!

According to Variety, Jeff Foxworthy is working on a new animated series about a NASCAR-centric dysfunctional family.

Amy Poehler will give up the anchor desk at Saturday Night Live when she goes on maternity leave in November. Sources say she will not return to the show.

Finally, despite what reports said yesterday, it’s being reported that Sarah Palin called Tina Fey’s imitation of her funny. What’s funny is how much they look like each other without even trying.
