Jennifer Lopez completes Malibu triathlon
Singer, actress, dancer and mommy Jennifer Lopez can add another title to her resume: triathlon athlete.
Jennifer Lopez successfully completed the Nautica Malibu Triathlon on Sunday with a time of two hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds. She was cheered on by hubby Marc Anthony and trainer Gunnar Peterson.
Lopez said she got the idea to race during the eighth month of her pregnancy with twins Max and Emme. Saying she felt like a "beached whale," LaLopez saw a triathlon on television and decided she could do it as a means of getting back into shape.
"I feel great," she said during an August appearance on Good Morning America. "I have more energy -- [and] I'm proud of myself."
After crossing the finish line, she told the crowd, "I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles and hopefully it'll go to good use."
Not to be outdone, another celeb joined Lopez, Malibu local Matthew McConaughey, who was seen kissing baby Levi and girlfriend Camila Alves before the swim portion of the race. He gave Lopez, his former costar in the romantic comedy The Wedding Planner, a big hug in the VIP section.
