Kanye West was arrested Thursday morning at the Los Angeles International Airport on felony vandalism charges.
The music mogul and his bodyguard stand accused of smashing the cameras of two separate photographers, one belonging to a still paparazzo and one of a TMZ videographer.
According to TMZ, “West rushed the photog and grabbed his camera. A struggle ensued and the still guy was screaming, “Police, help!” Erik says Kanye then took the still camera and threw it on the ground, breaking it into pieces.”
West then noticed the entire incident was being videotaped — and his bodyguard wrestled with the videographer, smashing that camera on the ground as well.
The duo then proceeded to the airline security area, where they were stopped by police. When the TMZ lensman was asked by cops if he had been able to tape the incident and responded in the affirmative, Kanye then lunged at him, yelling, “Give me the (expletive) videotape.” He was then restrained by police, and he and the bodyguard both arrested.
