Democratic Convention closes with Jennifer Hudson’s national anthem

You’ll find plenty of Democratic Convention coverage tonight as Barack Obama makes his acceptance speech in front of 75,000 people in Denver. Networks fill the air beforehand with a varied group including Tabitha’s Takeover. Here’s a tip: Don’t miss Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson’s national anthem prior to Obama’s speech.

Last night, it was a second full night of America’s Got Talent. No real surprises in which of the five acts made it through to the finals but please, if you’re going to have kids on the show, deal with rejection and move on. The fact that mini-stunt girl got all that fanfare when she was cut was disrespectful to those adults who were cut and walked off with their heads held high. Seriously, kids handle this stuff better than grownups, so let it go.

Project Runway was particularly inspiring last night. The contestants really stepped it up as they had to make a garment out of Saturn car parts. Shear Geniushad an interesting finale asking the stylists to create a set of looks showing off the stages of one woman’s life. In the end it was Dee who was triumphant.
