Olympics close and Cheetah Girls try for One World

Aug 22, 2008 at 6:05 p.m. ET

The Cheetah Girls bring us closer in One World while the Beijing Games wind down. The only Olympics for me last night was the rhythmic gymnastics events, so lovely and amazing! Then it was a repeat of a very creepy Supernatural and I topped that off with the Shear Genius I missed from the night before. I love these photo shoot challenges because it really puts their skills to the test.

And speaking of cutting hair and style, I checked out two new reality shows that premiered last night. First was Tabitha's Salon Takeover which was less annoying than I imagined. I pictured Hell's Kitchen with much yelling, but Tabitha was very controlled and very right! The changes she made were stunning and I hope the salon is still doing well. I'll watch next week for sure.

I also tuned in for Glam God with Vivica A. Fox, and this, too was surprisingly interesting. It's kind of like Shear Genius meets Project Runway with the stylists proving that a great look is in the details. Who knew this much thought went into those red carpet looks? I've got this one set to tape every week on the DVR, too.
