Shots rang out at a party thrown by Jermaine Dupri at Atlanta's Club Dream last night. Why? VIP access.

Jermaine, you're becoming DiddyLaw enforcement sources say the crowd got ugly when a rumor started that bouncers were charging twice as much as the regular rate for access to the VIP area, where such luminaries as Usher, P. Diddy and Nelly were hanging out.

When bouncers tried to get the troublemakers outside of the club, shots rang out.

One bouncer was hit in the arm but has already been released from the hospital. No one else was hurt, and no stars or their entourages are suspects.

Believe it or not, not even Diddy.

Today Dupri said, "I'm sad this incident happened because it interrupted a beautiful and loving party. I'm happy none of my people or friends got hurt. And the party continues."

The party continues...after a shooting!

There is no word whether Dupri's girlfriend, Janet Jackson was at the scene in the Jennifer Lopez role.
