Last Comic, Dance, Greatest American Dog

The comics visit The Playboy Mansion and So You Think You Can Dance sends two more dancers home while America is still going to the dogs.

Still looking for America's greatest dogLast night I got a sneak peek at the new FOX series “Fringe” and I love it. More about that, later on.

Since I was at Comic Con all night the only show I caught was “Project Runway” on the DVR.

Wow, those were some ugly dresses, folks!

I know it was a tricky challenge but it seems that some designers can pull anything off and others…well, I guess that’s what the show is all about.

Let’s see what’s on:

Tonight on TV

FOX is looking pretty good with “Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader” and the “So You Think You Can Dance” elimination show.

NBC is also looking good with a Playboy mansion themed “Last Comic Standing” and then a spooky “Fear Itself.”

CBS has a new “Greatest American Dog,” a rerun of “CSI” and then “Flashpoint” instead of the originally scheduled “Swingtown.”

ABC has reruns of “Ugly Betty” and “Grey’s Anatomy” and then a new “Hopkins.”

The CW goes with “Smallville” and “Supernatural.”

Over on cable

There’s a new “Ace of Cakes” on The Food Network at 10:00.  HGTV has several new episodes including “Myles of Style”  and “Rate My Space.”

“America’s Best Dance Crew” continues on MTV, and there’s an exciting “Burn Notice” on USA.

If you want to share my Comic Con experience, G4 is covering the show all night long.

News and notable

Former talk show host Montel Williams will guest on the August 1 episode of “Guiding Light.”

Fox has ordered a pilot of the creator of “Nip/Tuck,” this one is about the “cut-throat world of high school glee clubs.” (Yeah, really.)

Harvey Keitel will join the cast of ABC’s “Life on Mars.”
