Greatest Dog, Last Comic, Dance Results

Up for elimination tonight is a comic, a dog and two dancers. From “So You Think You Can Dance,” to “America’s Greatest Dog,” and “Last Comic Standing,” the contestant crop grows smaller tonight. Who will survive?

“Project Runway” returned to Bravo last night with two of the ugliest designs I’ve ever seen. Challenged to create something fantastic out of ordinary items from the grocery store, one designer draped trash bags around her model’s neck and called it a day. The other made this wacky outfit that looked like it came out of Joss Whedon’s “Dr. Horrible” movie. On the other hand, there were a couple of truly imaginative and stunning designs. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Right after that it was musical chairs on “Shear Genius” and the “Celebrity Circus” finale which I haven’t watched yet, so don’t tell me how it ends.

Tonight on TV

NBC should get some laughs when the comics dig up props for their act on “Last Comic Standing.” That’s followed by the truly scary, “Fear Itself.”

CBS begins with the second episode of “Greatest American Dog,” a real ratings winner last week. That’s followed by a repeat of “CSI” and a new “Swingtown.”

Looking for America's best canine

ABC has repeats of “Ugly Betty” and “Grey’s Anatomy” and a new “Hopkins.”

Two dancers will be eliminated on “So You Think You Can Dance” on FOX and The CW has “Smallville” and a coven of suburban witches on “Supernatural.”

Over on cable

Comedy Central premieres “The Gong Show with Dave Attell” at 10:00.

On The Food Network, the “Ace of Cakes” turns out a record breaking cupcake. HGTV has a full night of new programing and TBS has more laughs with “The Bill Engvall Show” and “My Boys.”

News and notableFox is looking to pick up a semi-scripted comedy based on the book “Letters From a Nut” by Ted L. Nancy.

Zach Braff confirmed that this will be his last full season with “Scrubs.”
