Fox serves up truth and devilish consequences.
Last night MTV narrowed down their search for Elle Woods to ten girls who will now compete to win a role in the Broadway musical “Legally Blonde.” Oh, so many perky personalities on one stage, and way too many “interview” clips. Take a lesson from “So You Think You Can Dance” and let’s see these girls perform!
As far as tonight goes, it’s slim pickins for something new and different. And here I thought all the networks had a line up of cool summer shows…
Tonight on TV
FOX is the only all new network with “Moment of Truth” and “Hell’s Kitchen.”
CBS rolls with “NCIS,” a new “48 Hours Mystery” and then a repeat of “Without a Trace.
ABC has a double dose of “According to Jim” followed by two “Samantha Whos” and a “Boston Legal.”
NBC goes for “Most Outrageous Moments” then ends with a double order of “Law & Order: SVU.”
Finally, The CW clocks in with “Beauty and the Geek” and “Reaper.”
Over on cable
It’s not much better.
BBC America has their new comedy “Not Going Out.” MTV has “Tila Tequila.” Oxygen fills their night with “Deion and Pilar” — a marathon that ends with a new episode at 10:30.
Not new but fun to watch, TNT has “Bones” at 10:00 and there’s a “CSI” mini-marathon on Spike.
News and notable
“Buffy’s” Charisma Carpenter will pay another visit to ABC Family’s “Greek.”
The voice actors behind “The Simpsons” have finally settled on a deal that will keep new episodes coming for several more years. (Yes, years.)
FX will begin airing mini-webisodes designed to keep “Rescue Me” fans in the loop as the series prepares to return in April after a two year hiatus.
Bill Zane has signed on to the new ABC drama “Finnegan.”
