Pussycat Dolls story on E, Jorja Fox returns to CSI

May 23, 2008 at 3:32 p.m. ET

Compared to the networks, cable's looking mighty good tonight.

The Dolls get the E! True Hollywood StoryLast night's finales are being greeted with mixed reviews, but I've already moved on to new TV. "So You Think You Can Dance" was back but only in audition mode and we got our first look at the funny men and women of "Last Comic Standing."

I've also become horribly addicted to the original "Iron Chef" which is airing on Fine Living every night at midnight. Sea Urchin sauce over sweetfish intestines...makes my walnut and chicken lunch salad appear rather boring. If you watch, stick around for the commercials. Fine Living has these short "tip" ads on everything from cooking salmon to how to order sushi. They're fun and helpful. Now, on to tonight's rather sedate line-up.

Tonight on TV

ABC has two hours of "Grey's Anatomy" followed by "20/20."

CBS is going with repeats of their usual Friday night fare minus one. It will be two repeats of "Ghost Whisperer" followed by "Numb3rs."

NBC reruns this week's "American Gladiators," which is good because I missed it, and ends with "Dateline NBC."

The CW has a few more weeks of "Smackdown" and FOX is showing one of my favorite movies "Cheaper by the Dozen," which should give CW fans a happy as it includes "Smallville's" Tom Welling and "Supernatural's" Jared Padalecki.

Over on cable

Up for a family movie?  ABC Family has Johnny Depp's version of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and AMC has the original "Karate Kid."

Want something more grown-up?  E! has "The True Hollywood Story" of the Pussycat Dolls and check out CMT's new improvement show "Mobile Home Disaster."

National Geographic channel has a mini-marathon of "Dog Whisperer," with one new episode at 8:00 and two reruns.
