Mariah’s music showcased on Idol tonight

Tonight, reality bites with “American Idol” and “Hell’s Kitchen” leading the way.

Idol does its best Mariah tonight!

Tonight on TV

FOX starts us off with “American Idol” and it’s songs of Mariah Carey. After that, feathers will fly (chicken feathers, that is) on “Hell’s Kitchen.”
ABC starts with dual episodes of “According to Jim,” then it’s the “Dancing with the Stars” results show with performances by James Blunt, two-time World Cabaret champions Eric Luna and Georgia Ambarian and Ozomatli.  “Boston Legal” finishes the night with a new episode.

CBS has a solid night with a new “NCIS,” “Big Brother 9” and “48 Hours Mystery” replacing the canceled “Secret Talents of the Stars.”

NBC has an hour and a half of “The Biggest Loser” followed by a heavy-duty “Law & Order: SVU” where Olivia goes undercover in jail.

The CW has a slow night with a new “Beauty and the Geek” and a repeat of “Reaper.”

Over on Cable…

BBC America has a mini-marathon of “Last Restaurant Standing” which is getting down to the wire.

Discovery has the season four premiere of “Deadliest Catch” at 9:00 and Oxygen fills the 10:00 spot with new episodes of “Bad Girls Club” and “Deion and Pilar.”
