Get to know the man behind "Blazing Saddles" and so much more.

Alec loves Gene!You've seen him in "Young Frankenstein," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "Blazing Saddles," but now it's time to get to know the real Gene Wilder.

On April 15, Turner Classic Movie will pay homage to the funnyman beginning with a new special, "Role Model: Gene Wilder." 

Gene sits down with Alec Balwin for an intimate conversation about life, love and his career. They talk about his first meeting with collaborator Mel Brooks, his marriage to Anne Bancroft and being "kissed fully on the lips" by actor Zero Mostel. 

After the special, TCM will air two of Wilder's best movies, "The Producers" and "Blazing Saddles."

It's going to be a very funny evening.
